Private sector lender Lakshmi Vilas Bank 's net profit fell by 38 percent to Rs 18
crore in the second quarter of current financial year from Rs 29 crore in a
year ago period.
Net interest income went down by 6 percent year-on-year to
Rs 90.7 crore during the quarter.
Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) increased 92 basis points
quarter-on-quarter to 4.5 percent and net NPAs rose by 74 basis points to 2.95
percent in the July-September quarter.
At 13:53 hours IST, the stock tumbled 3 percent to Rs 75.85
amid heavy volumes on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
