Jubilant Foodworks , a master franchisee of Domino's Pizza
International and Dunkin' Donuts, has reported a net profit of Rs 32.3 crore in
the second quarter of current financial year, a growth of 36 percent compared
to Rs 23.7 crore in a year ago period.
Total income grew by 42 percent year-on-year to Rs 342.1
crore during the same quarter.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization
(EBITDA) increased 35 percent Yoyo to Rs 58.7 crore in the September quarter.
But EBITDA margin fell by 100 basis points Yoyo to 17.1
percent in the three months period ended September 2012.
Ajay Kaul of Jubilant FoodWorks said increase in revenue
reflected strength of company’s portfolio. "We have opened 26 new Dominos
stores in the second quarter, taking the total stores to 515 at the end of Q2.
We have also opened one new store in Sri Lanka," he said.
At 15:22 hours IST, the stock rallied 2.72 percent to Rs 1,317
amid high volumes on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
