Ashok Leyland , commercial vehicle maker has reported a
less than expected net profit at Rs 269 crore for the fourth quarter of FY12,
down 9.7% as compared to Rs 298 crore in a year ago period.
Net sales increased 11% to Rs 4,236 crore from Rs 3,813
crore year-on-year.
Analysts on average had expected net profit at Rs 280 crore
and net sales at Rs 4,160 crore for the quarter.
The company decided to pay a dividend of Re 1 a share.
