RInfra in talk with strategic investors for stake sale

MUMBAI: With an eye on creating value for its roads, metro rails and transmission businesses, Anil Ambani-led Reliance Infrastructure is in talks with strategic investors -- domestic as well as international -- for stake sale, a top company official said today.

"We have a large infrastructure portfolio. Investors, foreign as well as Indian strategic partners have shown interest in our roads, metros and transmission business. We have been talking to them for the last few years," RInfra Chief Executive Officer, Lalit Jalan told PTI here.

The company is presently developing 25 projects aggregating around Rs 40,000 crore of roads, metro rails, transmission, sealink and airports and two specialty real estate projects, he said.

"The value they (investors) are offering is quite attractive. We have been implementing measures to enhance focus on our core activities, with the objective of creating value for all stakeholders. The de-merger proposition of the businesses was also a part of value creation," he said.
