Coal India FY11 net up at Rs 4696 crore.

Coal India has posted a net profit of Rs 4,696 crore in the fiscal ended March 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 3,780 crore in the year-ago period. During the period, total Income has increased from Rs 4593.44 crore.

According to CNBC-TV18's estimates, Q4FY11 sales was seen up 14% at Rs 14430 crore versus Rs 12692 crore, quarter-on-quarter, (QoQ).

The board has recommended total dividend at Rs. 3.90 a share, subject to the approval of the shareholders for FY11 which includes payment of interim dividend of Rs 3.50 a share.
Shares of the company declined Rs 2.4, or 0.63%, to settle at Rs 381.30. The total volume of shares traded was 652,418 at the BSE(Thursday).
