Essar Shipping Ports and Logistics Limited’s (ESPLL’s) registered net profit of 26.5%to Rs. 27.64 crores as compared to Rs. 21.85 crores for the corresponding period of the previous year.
Revenue for the quarter grew by 2.7% to Rs. 834.27 crores as compared to Rs. 812.73 crores for the corresponding period last year. The EBITDA for the same period was Rs. 313.84 crores compared to Rs. 279.29 crores, up by 12.4%.
It is notable that the Ports division of the company contributed significantly to the earnings of ESPLL with a revenue increase of 58.3% at Rs. 187.90 crores for the quarter as against Rs 118.71 crores for the corresponding period last year. The EBIDTA for the Ports division increased by 52.3% to Rs. 137.17 crore against Rs 90.08 crores for the corresponding period last year.
ESPLL’s Net Profit for the year till date of the current financial year registered a growth of 158.2% to Rs. 78.12 crores as compared to Rs. 30.25 crores for the corresponding period last year. Revenue for the period grew by 17.5% to Rs. 2,539.82 crores as compared to Rs. 2,161.50 crores for the corresponding period last year. The EBITDA for the year till date was up by 19.7% to Rs. 948.72 crores compared to Rs 792.74 crores for the same period last year.
