ICICI Prudential AMC & DENIP Consultants

DENIP Consultants was a proud invitee to the ICICI Prudential Incredible event at Hotel Novotel, Juhu Mumbai from 4:00pm to 10:00pm.

The event consisted of prominent speakers such as:

  1. Mr. Anil Singhvi - Markets Editor CNBC Awaaz and host of some of the most popular shows such as "Vayde se Fayda", "Aaj Ka Karobar" etc.
  2. Mr. Nimesh Shah - CEO & MD ICICI Prudential AMC
  3. Mr. S Naren - Cheif Investment Officer - Equity  ICICI Prudential AMC 
  4. Mr. Aashish Somaiyaa - SVP &  Head Retail Business - ICICI Prudential AMC






What started off as a macro economic view on India by Mr. Singhvi progressed to a short term and then a 5 year view on the Indian equity market by Mr. S. Naren.

Mr. Nimesh Shah and Mr. S Naren then went on to how ICICI Prudentials conservative approach has helped them to stay in the top quartile in the MF industry. They were also blunt enough to explain that although some of the schemes of ICICI Pru AMC does not feature in the top 2, they were happy to stay in the top 3 / top 4 but stay there consistently.

They went on to explain that every ICICI Pru AMC offering would have a clear cut distinction and would help every investor chose the scheme better.

What followed was even more interesting, a one on one session with all of them. Mr. Singhvi was kind enough to explain to us that we as Indian investors are always scared to invest in the Indian markets sometimes when the US has problems (subprime crisis) and sometimes when the US is doing well (FII money will go to the US rather than Indian Markets) which in turn only helps us miss out on all the opportunities in the market.

Mr. Naren was kind enough to explain fund management strategies to us and how ICICI Pru AMC was re-born after 2008. He was kind enough to get into the depth of the strategies to be adopted while taking a call as well as get into the depth of the processes to arrive at the strategy.

Mr. Nimesh Shah was very clear on how DENIP as an organization had an opportunity to expand a minimum 5 times to 12 times over a period of the next 8 years. He discussed out the details of how DENIP approached its clients and gave several tips on expanding the business.

Mr. Aashish Somaiya thoroughly appreciated the conduct of the business DENIP follows and the relationship that DENIP has with ICICI Pru AMC.

It was nothing but a major learning experience for the two of us and we look forward to our next meeting with ICICI Pru AMC.

    Great... I hope that target is achieved way before 8 years.
