HDFC Mutual Fund has approved the declaration of dividend under dividend option of HDFC Equity Fund and HDFC Long Term Equity Fund. The quantum of declaration will be 40 per cent for HDFC Equity Fund and 10 per cent for HDFC Long Term Equity Fund. The record date is March 22, 2011.
HDFC Equity Fund, launched in December 1994 has been classified as an Equity Multi Cap fund. The fund has returned 27.66 per cent in the last 15 years. It has been rated as a 5-star fund as on February 28, 2011. The fund has also been ranked number 1 out of 47 funds based on its trailing 3-year performance as on March 16, 2011. This is the 15th dividend declared by the fund since its launch. The last dividend was declared in March 2010 and the quantum was 40 per cent.
HDFC Long Term Equity Fund launched in January 2006 has been rated as a 3-star fund in Equity Multi-cap category. The fund is ranked 18th out of 47 funds based on trailing 3-year performance as on March 16, 2011. This is the 3rd dividend declared by the fund since its launch. Prior to this, it declared a 12.5 per cent dividend in January 2010.
